A true warrior fights with their body as their weapon, a katana, 'mech, or laser is only an extension of that weapon. To be fully effective, one must be one with thier weapon, because they are that weapon. That is why 'mech customization is very important, you must be fully at ease with your design. Each variant has their own feel, their own limits, and their own "personality" if you will.

If you make your own variant, you can fight much more effectively in a well made variant than a primary or a poorly made custom. Throughout history in the Inner Sphere this has been exceedingly difficult due to their types of 'mechs, however the Clans with our omnimechs can make field modifications and custom variats quite easily, and so we have the laboratory here to help keep track of them and to pool information.

Below are several categories, including BattleTech: The Board Game, NetMech, MercNet, Mech Commander and Mech3 (when it is released). As more BattleTech games become available corrosponding categories will be posted. If you have a design please enclose it into a zip file and send it to me, include a brief description of the design, and any notable battle history - many designs look good on paper to falter in the heat of combat.

 

 

 

 


GLADKS Daikatana

Capabilities:

The first opponent of the Candidate is the Officer 1 Jenner. This is a relatively fast design meant to get close to the opponent and rip its throat out immediately.

With no AMS cover, this can prove to be fatal, but used correctly against the correct opponent this design has been known to defeat many Candidates before they start.

The trinity of lasers proves very deadly with such a design with excellent heat dissipation abilities.
